Wooden Paddle Found In Wharton's Virginia Cavalry Camp.

A nicely carved wooden pine paddle, measuring 7" long by 1 3/8" wide with Civil War-date inscription done by either a Union or Confederate relic hunter in 1864 who scribed on the face, "Paddle found in Camp Rich Hollow, December 1864, Wharton Division, Early's Corps." The back is inscribed, "C. S. A." From the estate of a Confederate veteran from the Shenandoah Valley.
