Burris Jenkins (1897-1966) war correspondent and newspaper editor. Jenkins was a popular sports cartoonist, whose work appeared in the New York Journal-American from 1931. Although best known for his sports themes, Jenkins was also a skilled courtroom illustrator and editorial cartoonist. This has the all the cold-war players, titled "Stop Rocking The Boat" as Nikita Khrushchev recklessly pilots the boat "Berlin" with a distressed "Lady Peace" captive, riding the wave of "Nuclear War". On the shore are the NATO life Guards, Charles de Gaulle, Jack Kennedy, Harold Macmillan, and Konrad Adenauer. VG, 9-1/2 x 13".
