A pair of medals to include: George Washington Danish Medal, struck in white metal, 2", the obverse is a small portrait of George Washington, framed in a wreath, with an eagle below and Cherubs on either side, reverse is a group of five female figures representing America at the center. plus, 1-1/2" white metal Liberty Bell from the same expo. Small hole punch for hanging loop. The Centennial International Exhibition of 1876, the first official World's Fair to be held in the United States, was held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, from May 10 to November 10, 1876, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia.
