A complete issue of The Daily Graphic, 14” x 20,” 8pp., August 15, 1876, New York, disbound, VG. Full front page illustration showing a scalped General Custer beneath Sitting Bull (drawn as a Minotaur, half man half bull) who has been shot by General Sheridan. the caption reads, “The Right Way to Dispose of Sitting Bull And His Braves. What The Country Expects of General Sheridan.” Of course this was not to happen. Sitting Bull surrendered in 1881 and by 1885 was part of Buffalo Bill’s Wild West Show.
