“G.W.” Birth & Death dated Memorial Urn vignetted “Discourse... to mourn the Decease and venerate the Virtues of General George Washington, by David Barnes, D.D., February 22, 1800.” Published by Manning & Loring of Boston, (MA), Very Fine. This historic period memorial Imprint measures 5” x 8”, 16 pages, complete, bound with string, original paper never trimmed, only lacking about 1.5” of the blank lower portion of the cover not affecting any text or design, right side corner folds and edge wear from use yet very nice and clean internally. Published by Manning & Loring of Boston, (MA). Besides the flowery prose including, “united we stand divided we fall” as seen within, associated with these eulogies held soon after Washington’s death, this one has a nice vivid imprint vignette of a large “G.W.” Birth & Death dated Memorial Urn dedicated to Washington on the inside front cover with legend on its base reading: “The just shall be had in everlasting remembrance.”
