War Dated Mounted Albuman photo of six men, three in uniform. the front mount is ink ID’d as “Gov. Brownlow family.” Governor Brownlow (second from left) with his staff including son James Patton Brownlow (seated to his right) and his other son John Bell Brownlow ( seated fifth from left) during one of his terms as Tennessee governor. This image is identified as of him and his staff in the book "Nashville: From the Collection of Carl and Otto Giers, Volume II" by James Hoobler, published 2000. A single tintype photograph is mounted to the top margin with a manuscript description "A later addition." The photo, 10” x 8-1/2,” has damge in two areas with paper loss as shown in our image. Included is a cover, Carl C. Giers, Photographic Art Gallery, Nashville, Tenn.
