Late 19th century stoneware jug decorated with two American flags, and other folk art decorations. The cobalt blue is faint, however, the rarity of the two flags and what appears to be a human figure, make this jug highly desirable. The form dates from 1890-1910. The jug was acquired from an estate sale of the original family in West Virginia. ½" chip to spout, spider web hairline middle extending 1" in three directions, but stable, else VG. Size: 13".
