Stamped quart size salt glaze jug, John Anderson Craven, boldly stamped JAC, of desirable size. The JAC is more scarce than the more common JD Craven stamp. The Craven brothers both shared the talent of potters in the Randolph County region, however John Anderson Craven's death at age 35 makes his pieces more scarce and desirable. c. 1870. Missing handle, else Fine. Size: 8".
