Autograph Letter Signed, “J.F. Taylor” 1p. quarto, Charleston, August 4, 1850, and reads in part: “... i send you a few lines respecting this boy I send him as I have a good opportunity by William. I give him 1 new coat and pants and if he doesnt do as you want him to do I dont want you to tlet him have them. I give him all I have at present and if he does as he is told I will send him up some winter clothign...” VG.
