Autograph Letter Signed, "Sarah Louisa Livermore"3p. octavo, Milton Centre, October 30, 1864, with cover, with top half of front sheet bearing her political ideology, and reads "For President March 4th 1865, Father Abraham, for Vice President the Same day Andrew Johnson, for Libby Prison, fire and brimstone, the same day, Jeff Davis and all those who vote for the Chicago Platform." the letter reads in part: "…what do you and your folks thing about having Abraham Lincoln for president this fall or be you in favor of McCellan or little Mac as they call him. The folks all around here think we will have Old Abe, the time will tell in a few days who will be the man. I think the Copperheads will look sad enough if we get Old Abe, I think the war will soon end if we get him at least it looks so now. Do you have any Union meetings out there in your place; we have them around here most every night. I have been to three Union meetings and a large mass meeting at Ballstoon Spa. I am a going tomorrow night to another meeting I am also going to another large mass meeting at Saratoga Springs this week. I wish you was here to go with me. There will be speaking in the day time and in the evening a torch light procession and fire works which will be very beautiful…" Fine.
