Measures 5 ¾" X 9 ¼", 2pp., fine with light wax seal mark. Quire rare Washington, D.C. funeral procession program for President Lincoln. The funeral procession starts at the Executive Mansion on April 19th after religious services, with Lincoln's body being brought to the Capitol Rotunda for public viewing. The program lists the pall bears, which include General Grant, General Halleck, Admiral David Farragut, etc. Also listed is how other dignitaries, including the President's relatives, are to march in the procession. One can image the spectacle of this procession heading down Pennsylvania Avenue…Thousands of mourners lining the avenue…The who's who's of Washington, D.C. marching in the procession along side Lincoln's hearse…and finally the public viewing of the great Emancipator's body in the Capitol Building. An event for the ages!
