War-date Confederate prisoner of war Autogrpah Letter Signed, “Marcus M. Bowers Co. A 4 Division Point Lookout, Md” served with Co. G, 12th Virginia Infantry, WIA at Chancellorsville, POW at Weldon Rail Road, 1p. octavo, Point Lookout, January 2, 1865, with cover, it reads in part: “...I had got your letter which made me in better spirits...I require a voucher I write today to Frederick to come on to Washington to vouch for me...I am in better health than for sometime previous have been taking medicine still I suffer from cold and colds my blood is so poor. I would like to have a little money I owe two dollars on a pair shoes...” VG.
