Autograph Letter Signed, “Jerome Titlow” who was a captain in the 3rd Pennsylvania Artillery, 2p. octavo, Hampton, Virginia, August 8, 1876, with cover addressed to J.C. Stoner in Columbia, Pennsyvlania, with nice “National Soldiers Home” cds, it reads “...Since writing to your wife I have learned that you hsould have said I said to you that Clem was whorring after Keyes and that she looked like a whore, and that she danced like one and that she was one. Now if you say that, you are the blackest liar that ever lived fro I never made use of no such language all I ever said about Clem and Keyes you bought out of me by saying that she could have had keyes and that all of them said so. I said she was not so, but she would have like to have had him, but as you know I never made use of no such language. Hoping you will be able to fix this matter all straight. If not I shall hold you personally responsible for the charge you have made against me.
