Unusual Autograph Letter Signed, “Wm. Clapp” who was noted for his ridicule of the Abduhl Rahaman, the Prince among Slaves, whom he referred to as Prince Errant, 1p. quarto, Office Eve. Gazette, August 8, 1851, addressed to his friend Kimball, and reads “Not receiving tickets for the gentlemen who entered the museum last year I concluded that you had cut them off, and therefore wrote that Mr. Bahers name might be put on. It would be a favor that I should always be ready to reciprocate were they also to be added. I allude to L.M. Stevens and Curtis Guild...” with Autograph Note Signed, “John French” 1p. 7-1/2”x2-3/4”, Herald Office, May 2, “Please admit the bearer to the musuem this evening to Accompany my folks home who are there...” VG.Curtis Guild, Sr. published the Commercial Bulletin, was a supporter of the arts, and served as president of the Bostonian Society.
