Quite scarce Cleveland and Thurman campaign buckle with the original cloth RWB belt. The buckle, which reads “C & T”, measures 2 ¼” X 3 ¼”. The buckle is in fine condition having original toning and patina. What is quite remarkable is that the original cloth belt is still attached, and in excellent condition. The cloth belt rarely, if ever, survives the ravages of time. These campaign belts were worn with marching uniforms in campaign events supporting the Cleveland - Thurman ticket in 1888. A wonderful campaign relic.
