Lee, was a Confederate cavalry general in the American Civil War, the 40th Governor of Virginia, diplomat, and United States Army general in the Spanish-American War. Lee, White House, March 30, 1867, 1pp., to Mr. John Haw, Jr. In full, Dr. Sir, I am writing that you should pay your bond by delivering me corn at your will at the price you say - the net that Co. Gordon's yields at his landing, providing it was sold from the vessel in Baltimore."
