This early war CDV has the E. & H. T. Anthony, New York backmark and shows the seated Hooker in the uniform of a brigadier. A Brady credit and copyright information are imprinted in the lower margin. Hooker served throughout the war, but his career's upward trajectory ground to a halt after he received a sound thrashing from Lee and Jackson at Chancellorsville. One small corner bump and a stain in the lower margin, else VG.
