A very nice, ca. 1918 American officer's European photo album containing hundreds of photos of Europe during and a bit after the "Great War". Included in the album are numerous combat photos, bombed out buildings, wrecks of airplanes, a nice image of French flying ace Lt. Rene Fonck who is credited with nearly 125 "kills" during the war, arial photography, several of General Pershing with French generals, several of Woodrow Wilson riding in a Pairs parade after his visit to Paris in December 1918 after his first visit to the Paris Peace conference, images of American soldiers marching through city streets (France) and numerous combat photos. Non combat views include those of the Eiffel tower, church scenes including architecture, castles and, of course, several images of our anonymous album owner in military uniform. VG
