A good ca. 1920 black and white photograph of famed inventor Thomas A. Edison and Charles P. Steinmetz working together on an experiment upon a cluttered table. Framed, measuring approximately 6 3/4" x 8", mounted on larger board. With paper label on the verso, reading, in part: "Shoulder To Shoulder - For Mankind…overcoming appalling handicaps, Dr. Steinmetz advanced into unknown fields and brought back light for all. Fortunate are those who live in his light and privileged were they who worked with him, shoulder to shoulder-for mankind…". Steinmetz (1865-1923) is credited with fostering the development of alternating current thereby giving us electricity for our homes and businesses while Edison's contribution to humanity needs no introduction. VG. Not examined out of frame.
