Book, 1st edition, “THE REMINISCENCES OF A MARINE,” by Major General John A. Lejeune, Dorrance and Company, Philadelphia, PA, 1930, 488pp., VG. Interestingly, there is a 1pp., Autograph Letter Signed “John A. Lejeune, tipped in the book written to Captain J.L. Dillard, 1933. Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina was named in his honor during World War II. Lejeune is often referred to in the present day as being the "greatest of all Leathernecks" and the "Marine's Marine."
