A good group of fifteen (15) war-date 25th Corps Army documents (six signed by Medal of Honor Winner Daniel Davis Wheeler) related to their artillery brigade, dated between February and July 1865, totaling nearly twenty pages being a collection of general orders, muster rolls and special orders related to the brigade's movements, logistics and protocols beginning at the front at Petersburg, while attached to the Army of The James, to Mobile, Alabama and finally to Brazos Santiago, Texas. Documents include: (6) Medal of Honor Winner Asst. Adjt. General Lt. Col. Daniel Davis Wheeler, former of the 4th Vermont who won the MOH for gallantry at Salem Heights, Va., May 3, 1865; (3) 1st Lt. Theron Upson, 1st Connecticut Light Artillery;(2) Capt. Loomis L. Langdon brevet major for Olustee and brevet Lt. Col. for Fort Gilmer, Va. and several others signed by individual officers whose records need further research. Overall VG, but light soiling, minor toning and expected wear. (17 pieces includes covers).
