Group of 10 authentic issues of the Evening Star, Washington DC, 4pp, never bound, VG. All issues have a front page advertisement for FORD’S NEW THEATER, several issues list Laura Keene (one actuall lists her in ‘Our American Cousin’), and several also list Edwin Booth at the Grover Theater. Of course all issues provide detail reporting of the war effort. The dates range from February 16, 1864 through May 31, 1864.
