A great grouping of four Grand Army of The Republic reunion documents dated between 1891 and 1900 announcing the reunion meetings held by the First Michigan Engineers and Mechanics at various Michigan towns including Detroit. All, but one document displays the iconic engineer's castle insignia upon it. The 1891 reunion to be held at Detroit, in the form of a printed letter, reads, in part: "Our Regiment will take part in the Grand Parade…as a Regiment marching as we did through Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North and South Carolina, with General Innes and all the old field and staff officer in line…". Also included is an original transmittal cover addressed to Veteran Arthur W. Currier of the 1st Michigan. All with expected soiling, minor spotting, else VG
