This March 5, 1861 edition of the New York Tribune has grand coverage of the LINCOLN INAUGURATION and his ADDRESS IN FULL. The coverage is under a 15-line bank of headlines on “The New Administration.” Peace and order, Immense throng of people, The Union not Dissolved. Reports over three columsn, Also in this issue are reports from “The Pro-slavery Rebellion” and “The Climax at Fort Sumter.” There is also an editorial about “The Inaugural Address,” most likely written by Horace Greeley. The issue has been removed from a volume, with loose pages, but content intact and paper in good shape.
