War-date Confederate Document Signed by Marcellus Ford, Asst Surg. Confederate States Navy, 1pp. oblong octavo, New Orleans, May 1, 1862, and reads “I hereby given my parole of honor not to take up arms against the United States during the continuance of this war, until reguarly exchanged...” Fine condition. Marcellus Ford served on the CSS LOUISIANA (1862), Richmond Station (1862), CSS CHATTAHOOCHEE (1862-63), CSS MACON (Savannah Squadron, 1864), CSS WATER WITCH (Savannah Squadron, 1864), Charleston Station (1864).
