War-date Confederate Document issued Columbus, October 7, 1862, addressed to General Ruggles by Colonel John Adams (1825 - 1864) KIA at Franklin, Tennessee, 1pp. octavo, South-Western Telegraph Company, and reads “Troops here are composed of battalion of heavy artillery two hundred & seventeen men partially armed as infantry state troops one hundred & eleven men without arms, one light battery sixty men, one cavalry co eighty six men partially armed.” Fine condition.
