MOORE, Samuel Preston (1813-1889) was an American military physician, who served in the medical corps of the United States Army during the Mexican–American War, and later as the Confederate Surgeon General throughout nearly all of the American Civil War. War-date Autograph Endorsement Signed “The President Bill is authorized to postpone examination for 30 days. S.P. Moore Surg. Gen.” Richmond, Virginia, May 18, 1863. Fine condition.
