Carrington, Provost Marshal, 1pp. quarto, Richmond, Virginia, April 2, 1864, being a Special Order, and reads in part: “...In accordance with instructions from Genl. Bragg, notice is hereby given that officers and soldiers traveling on leave, furlough, or under orders, are not required to stop here for passports. Capt. McCubbin Chief of Police will attend to the execution of this order...” More. Mounted. Fine condition.
