Autograph Letter Signed “John A. Bardwell,” 3pp. quarto, Albany, New York, April 17, 1841 and reads in part: “...Our good presidenty by the Providence of God has been taken from us. The Legislature & very many of our citizens wear crape in honour of the departed - Present circumstances indicate that President Tyler will carry out the principals [sic] of Gen. Harrison if so we may eventurally have better times - I sincerely hope it may be so & have no doubt but that it will...” Fine condition.
