LILLIE, Gordon William (1860-1942), known professionally as Pawnee Bill, was an American showman and performer who specialized in Wild West shows and was known for his short partnership with William "Buffalo" Bill Cody. Typed Letter Signed “Bill” on extraordinary stationery “Pawnee Bill’s Old Town and Indian Trading Post”, 8-1/2” x 13-1/4”, with marvelous illustration of the Trading Post, 1930. In small part, “Mr. Cook, and all thanks we have a fine bunch of Indians infact they are all talking about them ... I was told today that my time here in the big show would be eight minutes ... ”
