Cox C.S. of Vols to the 17th Army Corps with rank and pay of Lieut Colonel...” Fine condition. John Cooke Cox (1817-1872) was later brevetted brigadier general....plus; BUSSEY, Cyrus (1833-1915) was an American soldier and politician, serving as a Brigadier General in the Union Army during the American Civil War. Manuscript Document Signed “Cyrus Bussey” Colonel Commanding, 1pp. quarto, Head Quarters Cavalry Forces, Snyders Bluff, Mississippi, June 14, 1863, promoting two soldiers. Fine condition.
