Morehouse” Captain and Provost Marshal, 1pp. quarto, May 20, 1864, addressed to Anson Young, and reads in part: “...You are hereby notified that you were, on the 19th day of May, 1864 legally drafted in the service of the United States for the period of Three years...report on or before the 2nd day of June 1864...or be deemed a deserter...” Fine condition.
