The War-date roster fills seven pages, 7.75" x 12.25", no place, listing approximately 200 paroled prisoners with capture dates from November 13 to December 17, 1863. The prisoners were paroled by D.B. Bridgford, by order of Lt. General Jackson. In addition to the soldiers' names, the list provides their company, regiment, brigade and division. Winder's signature appears on a separate page (7.75" x 10"), which includes endorsements from three other Confederate officers. Winder's signature appears below an endorsement that reads: "HdQrs... Richmond Jany 20 / 63. Respectfully returned to Judge Ould - these men have all been delivered here." The prisoners were likely exchanged for Confederate prisoners. Usual mail folds, with light toning and soiling at folds and along edges. Sheet containing endorsements has soiling along the folds. Overall very good.
