Booklet, 4” x 5”, “Constitution of the Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War”, 74pp., 1926, fine. Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War, 1861-1865 (DUVCW) a non-profit organization, was founded by and for women who are direct descendants of Union veterans who fought for the preservation of our Nation during the American Civil War. They are the oldest and largest U.S. Civil War women’s organization genealogically based on lineal descent. DUVCW was incorporated in Massillon, Ohio in 1885 and endorsed by the Grand Army of the Republic in 1900. Members currently reside in 26 states and the District of Columbia and meet in local groups called Tents.
