War-date Confederate Autograph Letter Signed by Colonel Morton, 1pp. Quarto, Head Quarters, Collier, Tennessee, February 25, 1864, addressed to General Ruggles, and reads in part: "...I have scouted all roads leading north & east from this point...no enemy has been heard of except a band of tories up above Smithville & they have left that section of country since defeat of enemy…" Fine condition.
