A good war-date ca. 1865 Virginia printed Union Ninth Army Corps poem, 1p. 4to., entitled: "A SONG For The Ninth Army Corps", appealingly printed with blue text by Turner, Alexandria, Virginia, reading, in very small part: "We have been at South Mountain, boys, at Vicksburg we were, fought in Virginia, Maryland, Carolina and Tennessee…the Ninth Army Corps…are fearless sons of War…we battled at the Wilderness and Fredericksburg so dear likewise at Spotsylvania, nor did a traitor fear…the Ninth Army Corps is bold with veterans in the field, who fought the hardest battles oft in the open field…oh, then come along…make no delay. We come from the Yankee land, and we are not afraid…". VG with light toning.
