Just an enormous, 12” x 17”, x 5”, Cabinet Card Photograph Album with 25 pages (holds 200 cabinet card photographs). The leather covers are padded. The front cover is gilded with words, “Joshua M. Wells Post No. 451. Department of Ohio. Grand Army of the Republic. Presented by Comrade Carl N. Bancroft, September 17th 1885”. There are three Cabinet card photographs present to include: ID’d as “Joshua M. Wells, Capt. Co. C 113th Ohio Vols”, from a painting, fine. He was Killed on 9/20/1863 at Chickamauga, GA. ... plus, Harlan P. Judd, Segt. Signal Corps.. the cabinet card is c1885 although there is a thumb war-time image. ... plus, An image of Libby Prison with pencil inscription on the verso, Presented by Commander G. L. Anderson(?), NY 98 NY Vols.". This is a copy-photo of the Confederate image by A.Hoen & Co., Richmond, August 23, 1863. Of the remaining 24 pages, 13 have the soldier’s name and unit written below the “hole” but alas, no other photos. There is a 1899 2page listing of dozens of names under the heading, “Photos Wanted”.
