Erskine Maj & A QM Arty P.C.A. of T.", 1p. quarto, being a "Provision Return for (2) two men belonging to the Artillery of Polk's Corps A of T for four days commencing May 5th & Ending May 8th 1863." Issued at Camp Wright. VG.Marshall T. Polk served on the staff of Leonidas Polk during the Civil War. A West Point graduate in 1852, he served during the Civil War as Colonel and artillery commander in the Army of Tennessee. He lost a leg at the Battle of Shiloh in 1862.
