A pair of epaulettes, each 7' x 4", retaining the single strands of glittered tassels, brass ends and padded underside. Each is period ID'd as "R.L.W., 6th NCT". We were able to determine from the initials that these likely were worn/owned by Robert Lafayette Walker who enlisted into Co. K, NC 6th on March 1, 1862, was wounded at Sharpsburg, and surrendered on April 9, 1865 at Appomattox.
