D 3d Fla." 1p. octavo, Camp Douglas, Illinois, February 9, 1865, and reads in part: "...Twenty dozen thanks - came to hand at last, I was on the eve of dispair, though you had forgotten me...there is talk of an exchange, in fact they have already paroled about five hundred, if it should be true, Oh how overjoyed I would be...I have been in bad health ever since Ive been in Prison...I think it will be some time before our Florida will be called on..." VG.
