Beautifully framed in a deep frame, the 1-3/4” x 2-1/4”, two part badge with the top bearing the engraved “W.F. Slaton” then on the shield “CO. H, 7 GA. Vol. Inf. CSA War 1861-5” with cross muskets. Slaton was wounded August 30, 1862 at Rappahannock Station and again November 29, 1863 at Loudon Tennessee, and captured December 3, 1863.
