c. 1775 American Revolutionary War Period, American Forged Iron Pike Head, Very Fine. This c. 1775 Revolutionary War Period, large impressive American Pike Head measures about 20.5" long including the mounting socket by 2" wide at the base. Similar to 132.PA on page 223 of Neumann's "Swords & blades of the American Revolution." One side of the blade has a raised central ridge for added strength. Overall, very even in its natural light patina and in excellent condition having just a slight appearance of use. An excellent example for any Militaria collection or display of the period.
