1904-Dated, Civil War Commemorative Broadside/Printed, "Confederate Family Record," Choice Extremely Fine, together with a circa 1904 Color Broadside/Print: "Army of the Potomac," Choice Very Fine. Unusual Commemorative Pair of family and service printed Service Charts to honor veterans of the Civil War. 1. Confederate Family, printed in 1903 by Gamble, was never completed or filled in and it remains crisp Near Mint. This example has portraits of Jackson, Davis, and Lee, as well as vignettes of General Joe Wheeler at San Juan and the Destruction of Cervera's Fleet, July 3, 1898, measuring about 21" x 27" in outstanding beautiful Near Mint condition. 2. The Army of the Potomac, completely filled out with Corps. Commanders, Principal battles and losses taken, etc. The bottom has a certification of William Showers, stated as serving in the Army of the Potomac as a member of Company I, 49th Regiment in Pennsylvania Infantry 5th. This historic piece as a Seal on left hand corner, along with portraits of Union Generals McClellan, Burnside, Hooker, Meade, Hancock, and Sedgwick. This print has been previously mounted to foam core and over-matted to a size of 22" x 28.5" and thus ready to display. (2 items)
