A white clay pipe, 4" stem, 6" overall. The bowl is that of a slave head, never smoked. On the stem is embossed "Tobacco" and on the other side "BON F[UMEUR],(the last letters are covered by the original label, "GOEDEWAAGEN". This is an exceptional pipe, perfect original condition with label. nd, c1850.
