The newsletter announces the next meeting June 27, 1888. ... plus, Canceled cover addressed to Capt. B.J. Franklin, A Survivor Of Nashville Hoods Texas Brigade and Army of Northern Virginia.The Hood's Texas Brigade Association was founded in 1872 by surviving members of Hood's Texas Brigade of the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia. It existed until the final meeting, attended by only two veterans, in 1933. Jerome Bonaparte Robertson (1815-1890) was a doctor, Indian fighter, Texas politician, and a general in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. He was noted for his service in the famed Texas Brigade in the Army of Northern Virginia.
