An extraordinary pair of stone sculptures of a Negro man and a Negro woman. The neck-up busts are 13"t x 5"w x 9"d. There is an artist signature at the back of each base, "A. Gonnelli" (perhaps after "Autoritratto Gonnelli" the Italian Sculpture). The stone has been highly polished. Very strong pair.
