War-date home front letter, 4pp. 8vo., written by a "your brother, Charles," Bonney Eagle, Maine, July 17, 1863, in small part: "- I see by the Press that Albion Nason & a host of others - are drafted. They have at last put the riot in New York down in good shape. Anybody with half an eye can see that the policy of your PEACE PARTY, but they have put it down at last - I should like to see the returning soldier boys very much - your brother, Charles."
