Excellent example of original scrimshaw powder horn with Lady Liberty leaning on a huge anchor and holding a 13-star flag. In the background, a three mast ship. Also scrimshawed in a banner is "PHOENIX" below which is "NB". The whaling ship Phoenix was from New Bedford Massachusetts with nine whaling voyages from 1822-1859.
