Group of three slave bills of sale, includes : Manuscript Document Signed by William Boyland, October 31, 1854, Wake County, North Carolina, and reads in part: “...Benson F. Jones conveyed to me by Bill of Sale Negro Woman Hannah and her two children Robert and Cloe, incosideration of my becoming his surety to the bank of the state for the sume of five Hundred Dollars...” Fine condition...plus; Manuscript Document Signed by Solomon Terrell, 1pp. folio, August 15, 1855, Wake County, North Carolina, and reads in part: ...in consideration of the sum of eight hundred dollars to me in hand paid by Orren Smith...bargained & sold...a certain negro Woman (named Malissa) about sixteen years old...” Fine condition...plus; Manuscript Document Signed by Henry Jones, most likely North Carolina, 1pp. folio, January 14, 1826, and reads in part: “...Received Jany 14, 1826 of William Roles the sum of five hundred & fifty dollars which amount is considered in full payment for a negro boy by the name of Peter formerly of the property of Daniel JOnes...” Clean fold split, else very good condition.
