LEVY, David (!810-1886) was an American politician and attorney of Moroccan-Jewish origins. A resident of Florida, he served as its territorial delegate to Congress, and was the first person of Jewish heritage to serve as a United States Senator. Document Signed, “D. Levy”, 8” x 10”, as a Florida Congressman, May 25, 1842 on a Congressional document which list 40 colleagues and corresponding amounts of money. The document is partial missing the right side which has no affect on the Levy signature.
